INGREDIENTS:
FOR KOFTAS
- Roasted bengal gram - 4tbps
- Mutton - 1/2 kilo
- Medium sized onion - 1
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbps
- Homemade Garam masala powder - 1/2 tps
- Few mint and coriander leaves
- Green chillies finely cut - 3
- Coriander powder - 1/2 tps
- Cumin powder - 1/2 tps
- Red chilli powder - 1 tps
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tps
- Salt - 1 tps(to taste)
Grind all these ingredients then add the powder of coconut,cashews and bengal gram ,mix it
with little oil,mix well and make round medium sized koftas or meatballs.
FOR GRAVY:
- 2 fried onions
- 1 tbsp coconut powder
- 2 green chilies
- 10 cashews
- 100 g yogurt ( 1/2 cup)
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 4 green cardamom
- 1 black cardamom
- 1 inch cinnamon stick
- 10 black pepper
- 4 cloves
- 2 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp kashmiri red chili powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 cup oil
Gravy Process:
- Grind two medium sized onions into a fine paste.
- 3 tps yogurt. Nuts puree/paste of - 2 medium sized tomatoes.
- Heat 3 tbps oil, to it add ginger garlic paste - 2 tbps, fry it till raw smell disappears.
- Add onion paste and fry well till its colour changes.
- Add yogurt paste and fry well.
- Now add Nuts paste and cook well.
- Add red chilli powder - 1 tps.
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tps.
- Homemade garam masala powder - 1 tps.
- Coriander powder - 1/2tps.
- Zeera powder - 1/4 tps.
- Mix well and cook..
- Masala is well cooked as oil got separated from it Add water, salt and cook till gravy boils.
- Gravy has started boiling now add all the meatballs.
- Cook for 15 minutes under medium to low flame.
- After 15 minutes add few coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or chapati ,phulka.
